lost setup and system password for windows me operating. system. needed to change bios to start up from disc, but its locked. i cant get it to disable the security so i can change bios? any ideas? or if i install new drive, it will go to dthe reboot disc anyway? im lost!!!!!!!please help!!!!!!!!

how about reseting your cmos by the switch on your mobo... will that get rid of the password?

just a simple CMOS reset shold do te trick,.. just like dan sayd

yes just reset the cmos by pulling out the jumper and placing it back again. this will remove the bios password. and coming to the operating system password i think u can delete passwords by booting up in safe mode and go to user accounts and do the deletion. I am not sure if the second instruction would work. Please try
