lot of programs

okay, i'm going through and cleaning out my c drive alot by going through the add/remove programs. but there is a lot of stuff on there that i dont know what it is. if i put the list of programs on here, would someone be willing to look through it and tell me what is useless or dont need?
 
Well actually, I'll just post the programs that I don't know what they are. These are ones that I never actually notice them being run, whether they actually are or not. So I don't intentionally use any of them:

do you have aol internet connection? if not uninstall (usualy get the link on new computers for aol)

LiveUpdate 1.6 (Symantec Corporation) im sure that is for nortan security!

not sure about the rest mate, someone else im sure will help you
 
well you need to uninstall LiveUpdate 1.6 and aol...

then check your program folder in drive:c to see if they have been completely removed
 
OK,

Well we can get a full list of your programs by doing the following:

  1. Download HJT
  2. Install and Run HJT.
  3. Open HJT and click on Open Misc Tools Section
  4. Under the Misc Tools tab, click on Open Uninstall Manager
  5. Then hit Save List.... - Save the list and post the list in a reply

And then we can really tell you what to uninstall :)

Remove Limewire!!!! You can get a virus from this!

Also do you use Opera??? or internet explorer???? If you don't use Opera uninstall...

Otherwise that is all i would say to remove... someone else might tell you some more...

i'm using opera now. usually though i use firefox. and i want to uninstall internet explorer but i cant seem to do so.

No, if your using windows XP, you can only roll it back to IE6.. you can't remove it from the system at all, it is part of the OS... if your using Vista, then the latest one is IE7, and you can't roll it back at all..

So overall... Internet Explorer is staying :P
