Loud CPU fan after changing motherboard

after changing a motherboard, my q6600 starts to sound alot louder than b4 , CPU usage never normally go over 15% now goes past30% very often, does some motherboards require more CPU usage? Or is the fan just not setup rite?

try loosening the CPU fan screws just a hair.Sometimes you can over tork them and put pressure on the fan.

Then it wouldn't spin faster, would it?

Enable SMART Fan or whatever fan controller in CMOS you have.
