Low Disc Space

I have a HP Laptop running XP.

My C: Drive is an 80 GB drive. Just a few days ago, my drive was at 29.00 GB of used space and now it is at 100%.?

My computer has been popping up an error message saying I have low Disc Space. That my disc space is at 0 and I need to free up some space.

I can not figure out what program is causing the CPU usage to be so high (95-100%)

I am a noob and would love any ideas on where and what to look for to change and help solve this problem.

Thanks in advance..

Most likely you are infected. Disconnect from the internet and uninstall anything you don't use anymore. I would start by turning off system restore and deleting your temporary internet files. Until you get free space, you really can't install anything to run like Ccleaner or malwarebytes. What virus/malware scanner do you use?

Thank you, I will try disconnecting and turning those off.

I use malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, and Ad-Aware.

I cannot delete any files when I try Add/Remove Programs, maybe because of the low memory??

When I run disc cleanup I click files to delete, it deletes them, but there is still no room freed up.

Get rid of adaware and spybot and keep malwarebytes. Have you ever used hjiackthis?

Run a malwarebytes scan and then please do the following.

Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the malwarebytes log.
