M-755 vs Core Duo T2300

I'm in the market for a new laptop. I'm thinking about purchasing one with Intel's Core Duo processor. However, in my price range I can afford either the 1.66 ghz Core Duo T2300 or stick with the 2.0 ghz Pentium -755. I'm a newbie so this may be an easy decision and one in fact may be clearly better than the other. If that's so I just don't know which is the right choice so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Either one should be good, if you're doing a lot of heavy multitasking and think you'd need the duo core processing, then get that. Some won't care or see the improvement (if any). It all depends on how you use it. If you're only a basic user, then any processor would do fine. Right now, 2.0 processor is very fast and can be found on many systems. As for the Duo Core, there are only a few and some still trickling out.

I just purchased a new dV1000t, that has a 2.0GHz Core Duo processor. I will make sure and let you know what I think of it as soon as it comes. I currently have a Dell 600m with a 1.4GHz Pentium M. It has been a horrible computer, and I would not reccomend one. I will be getting me new system in a little over a week, and I will let you know what its like. It will have a 2.0GHz Core Duo processor, 1GB ram, 80GB hard drive.
