Mac Core 2 Duo running XP on Virtualbox having Direct3D problem

So I have been trying to play some old N64 games via ROM's and EMU's, I tried the few for Mac that were available but found them either broken or just plain bad. So I figured it would be easier to get a virtual desktop of XP running, I chose Virtualbox due to it's price tag. After getting everything setup I booted up XP, installed DirectX and a couple Emu's. But I either get some error about an unrecognized transcode or various errors about DirectX not initializing and the fact that I have no hardware accelerated devices. I'm really not sure what to do here, it's now more about solving this than playing any games. I think it wants updated hardware drivers, but the graphics card is in the mac but it's a windows program looking at the virtual xp machine. Needless to say I have no idea where to go from now. Thank you for the help and just let me know if any more speicfic information would help. Thank You.

SO I have been tinkering with the system settings on Virtual Box, seeing if maybe that would solve the problem, but it did not. Maybe another virtual desktop program? I'm just not sure if that would solve anything or just be a big waste of time.
