Mac laptop Comparison

My dad is now in the market for a mac laptop. All he really needs is a fast internet and other small stuff, the basic stuff. I personally hate macs but we thought about the thirteen inch macbook pro and it seemed like a good deal. I know macs are overpriced and all but sadly he won't take anything else. Any ideas?
 
Tbh i would look at the macbook, only difference between the macbook and 13" mbp is one has aluminum enclosure, other has acrylic plastic enclosure.
 
I'm at Mac right now and they're saying that their is a difference between the macbook pro alluniman vs. plastic. They said that there wasn't a difference on the original macbook. Was that what u were saying?
 
Tell him to get the lower end 13" Macbook Pro (I believe it is a 2.26Ghz processor). The white Macbook is being phased out, for a good reason--it has been around for a long time, and the 13" Macbook Pro unibody is amazing--I just upgraded from a Macbook to the 13" Macbook Pro 2.53Ghz.

And no, I don't believe Macs are overpriced. Not one bit.
 
Ya we just bought it thanks for the advice. We got the better thirteen inch pro one for 1800 but that came with mobile me, extended warrenty, a 16 gb ipod touch, a cannon laser printer and the laptop
