I would back up your data and also I would do it on a machine that isn't critical to you. One that you wouldn't care if you had to format it 500 times next week from all the times you crashed it. Trust me, I have been there. You should have seen my first linux machines, nothing worked properly lol.

the mac os x files are cracked to run on a standard bios. there is no hardware cracking. ive had osx84 10.4.3 on my laptop and it ran fine. installing mac os on a ibm compatibable only involves findding someone who will share a osx86 iso with you and installing it. its really easy
