mac question

I know little about macs but I would guess that there are a few proggy's that windows does not have but of course pretty much anything you'll find for a mac there's and equivelent on the pc. I could be wrong here also but there are far more games that are pc compatable then there are on a mac.
The closest I've come to a mac was running a distro of Linux LOL. Perhaps someone else will have more input then myself but I would say that there really is no real advantage no.

Mac OSX is unixed based. It is more stable. The OS itself look better in my opinion. They don't have quite as many games. And they are much more expensive.

which Is why I commented about a linux distro
.This is prob. still true about the stability as It is very very stable but I find Windows XP to be extremly stable as well, Stability with windows XP seems more to be with specific pcs and how they are configuered now. I've also always loved the look Of the OS more then windows but I think Windows looks just fine now with XP, I use the Royal theme designed for windows media centre I believe.
No they dont have as many games which is actualy too bad as I'd like to see more games for Unix based Operating systems. As far as being more expensive I'd even go as far as say that they are too expensive for what you get.
Yes, there are less games and they are more expensive, but:
OSX looks better, is much more user-friendly, much more stable, and Macs look VERY nice -- you can't beat the iMac G5 or Powerbook G4. It really comes down to loving the OS and the look of the machine -- if you just want performance, like myself, buying or building your own Windows-based machine may work better for you.

Yes if you like purdy things then Macs rock . but of course pcs can also fall into this category although the OS is not the purdiest It can look nice but it really comes down to performance vs price and macs are expensive. They are great for video editing and other artsy fartsy stuff but when it comes down to it windows based pcs fair pretty well in this category too. Dont get me wrong I dont hate Macs, i actualy think they are pretty cool.

go to http://www.ambrosiasw.com/news/ They have all kinds of games for mac. Most of them will not work on windows.

It does have those games. They are pretty good. But no like Counter Strike or stuff. It does have unreal tournament. Actually you can get alot of the games but for more expensive. If you have lots of money I would definatly go with a MAC. I used to use a my family eMac. But I wanted my own and a mac would be way to much for me. So I built my own windows.
