Macbook Battery life

Ok, i have to admit that i was never a fan of the Mac or any apple products. and still am beside the mac computers.

The first computer i ever used was a Mac in my middle school when i first moved to the US. But I hated it. I hate even more about its round mouse.

But after taking a movie editing class in hight school with the new Macs, I fall in love with it after a week or so. It just fells rely smooth.

Anyway to the topic.

I convinced my dad to get me a Macbook, and I would like to know how long the battery would last.

I read somewhere before that it can last to 6 or 7 hours, If so i will buy it, even it is at 5 hours.

The reason being, i am not good at English so i really struggled taking notes in class especially when professor talks fast and there is always somebody never seems to keep quite.

I need the notebook to correct my spellings so i know what i wrote hours later when i went to study it.

All the power plugs in all of my class rooms are filled with sand so there is no way for me to plug my laptop in. And the thing is my battery only last about 1 hour at best with everything set to low, and that nearly enough to get me through one class. I have 3 class a day so it is at least 3 hours to 4 hours worth of class time.

4 hours is cutting it close so if the macbook can last 5 hours than i definably will get it.

I was thinking about the entry lvl macbook, the 2Ghz Core 2 duo is fast enough for me. but it has 1 GB of RAM, I plan on using it for school only and maybe a little movie now and than, so do i need 2 GB of ram? I will do all other things in my laptop.

thanks

I use my MacBook a lot, without the power cord, I usually listen to music, surf the web, use programs like Photoshop and stuff, and it lasts a few hours. I read somewhere the battery life is 6 hours.

thanks for the reply G4m3rof1337.

I did too, don't remember where maybe it means 6 hours with everything on low.

Yeah.

I think I read it on the comparing sheet for the 3 versions of the MacBook.

If you need any help or anything with the Mac, let me know.
