I am not familiar at all with Mac OS. However I was wandering if macintosh is an OS that can be loaded onto any computer. Such as Windows Operating Systems.

not ANY computer, but jsut recently it can be loaded onto more than jsut MAC's.

You need SSE3 or SSE2 (with a patch) support, and you can run it on your PC.
 
positively can.. you will need an emulator to run mac os as a "sorta like program" on your windows os or tweak some files and run it natively on your pc...

but you should have the mac os x installation cd
 
if i get a mac os x cd, then can i boot from the cd. delete my windows partition, and install it as my OS?

u can but you need to do some tweaking and really need to know your computer incase anything goes wrong.. if ur interested. let me know n i can hlep.
 
i am extremely familiar with computers, i build them and work on them as a side job. however i have never worked with Mac. all i have ever done is windows installations. My wifes uncle is wanting a new computer and since i build them he asked me if i could build one for him. but he wants Mac OS X. From me he is wanting to know if i can do it, or if i should tell him to buy a computer with it already.
 
if you want to install mac os natively onto your pc without emulators or what not.. the computer you are building must be ssse3 or sse2 compatible..(recommends sse3)

search their forums and links for a "how to" for mac os depending which os you want to install tiger, panther, etc..
