I am just wondering, as I am doing an assignment on web design whether you can control an animated GIF in fireworks?

I have recently learnt how to create an animated GIF in fireworks. You can control the repeat procedure to no repeat, repeat twice, three times etc.

Is there a way so the GIF loads up on a browser and doesn’t not play until the user clicks on a button or the gif itself to start it.
On the whole some sort of behaviour?

Any help is most appreciated

You could, if you have access to, include the GIF on a rollover. There's an article featuring the methods used to create a simple rollover, using javascript.

There isn't a way you can do that in Fireworks, You can only create a continuous .gif

You could probably do it in Flash, or make the roll-over feature in Dreamweaver :)
