Mac's and viruses???

Yes, there are quite a few actually. Not just viruses either.

But arguably alot less than other operating systems. Doesn't meant they don't exist however.
 
lmao, no not impossible. Mac's have security updates just like all OS's do. There will always be coders and programmers out to get money, and the MaC OS is an ever-growing target. They do a good job with security however, you should be pretty safe if you keep ontop of your updates and use basic precautions.
 
yeah, will do get the updates, its not my mac but ive called it my own now!!! haha its mine, i'll keep up todate, thanks!!!
 
Not as many users so less then PCs but still I'm sure there are some and you can still get the e-mail viruses and such (I think).
 
Well, I wouldn't say "less than PC's" specifically. More like, "Less than Windows computers". Because I have a PC on Ubuntu...and I'm about 99% sure I'll never get any kind of malware. Almost a week since I set it up, 0 anti-virus software or protection, not as much as a pop-up. Been surfing and downloading, etc. I'd put money on certain Linux distros being safer than both Mac and Windows, but definetly not all of them.
