Maintenance software comparison

I have Glary Utilities, Tuneup Utilities, Uniblue Registrybooster and Uniblue Driverscanner installed on my computer as general maintenance programs. Driverscanner works just fine. But I want to know what your guys' opinions are on registrybooster, glary and tuneup. Tuneup has a lot of features, so I'm quite happy with it, but I also like the other two. I know registrybooster works just on the registry, but is that function not incorporated into the other programs? And also, is it good to run so many maintenance programs on a computer? Won't it be too much?

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Most of those programs are not necessary.

Scan your disk for errors, run a defragger regularly, and keep your third party programs up to date with a patch management program such as Secunia PSI and have one real time anti-malware program.

you can use Microsoft windows live registry repair to fix your registry and also to clean out your drive of temp files, clutter, etc, they probably know more about the Windows registry than anyone else does. ;) its a free online service.

Uniblue Registrybooster

The use of registry cleaners is not recommended because of the potential damage that they may cause and there's really no benefit from them.
I suggest you read through the two pages of this post:

I find that the best way to prevent messing up the registry (and/or fixing it), is to understand the registry and what it does. Sometimes there are things that registry "cleaners" will fix, and some things that they will miss no matter what. I had instances which registry fixers missed program parts, like after norton uninstalls. I had a trial norton on this computer form the factory....UGH! It was a pain to remove the little bits left after uninstall. And registry cleaners missed the "parts" of norton in every scan of the registry I ran. It came down to me going in and searching for the bits that needed to be removed.

If your gonna mess with the registry, it is best to know what you're doing before you do something that could cause computer chaos. Even if you use a program to do it for you, programs can make mistakes too. Its up to the user to know what to do and how to do it and what NOT to do.

Ccleaner, Defraggler, malwarebytes, spy bot are all good free tools to help keep the computer clean and running smooth, they are what I use and install on lot of peoples computer, They work fantastic!

The only program that I like which Norton makes is Norton Ghost. Their anti-virus is just horrible in my opinion.
