hey.

my PC is a packard bell imedia purchased early 2003. few months back my gfx card turned faulty so i removed it. my monitor is now plugged onto the vga slot thats integrated to the motherboard. right now i need to install a driver to it but i have no clue what driver it needs. is there a way that i can at least find out what card it is so i could install its driver?

Find out the make/model of the packard bell PC and do a google search (or post it here) for the onboard VGA drivers.

ooo i've done that but the thing is i cant find that model int the packard bell website. it is iMedia W82532SDRW

Need the model number it will be summin like 30** you can find this out by going to START> ALL PROGRAMS> ACCESSORIES> SYSTEM TOOLS> SYSTEM INFOMATION. Then in the list it will have system model. Then post that back here. Or goto; http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/index.php?m=step3&i=platform_danube_imedia

That site should have the VGA drivers you require.

just being curious how did you know my system would be a 30** model?
anyway i'm at the download page for all the video drivers for all 30** models which are the more likely ones? or have i got to download all and try my luck

All the 2003 imedia models begin with 30, its just finding ur one, as I see in the pic it dont state your model. So just have a snoop at that link I gave ya and see if you can find your PC (I think there are pix on the link so it shouldnt be to hard to find the right one :/ lol.

CPUz should help. If it doesn't give your graphic chipset, it should at least give you the north and south bridge. Do a little research with those and it's typically not hard to find what you have onboard.
