Major problem with my comp

I don't know what's happening to my comp.
When I enable HT, save changes and restart, the problem starts.
Everytime I go to the internet and surf for awhile, the screen goes off(like when the PC is off but the monitor on) but the PC is still on. Then, after reseting, the computer says that it has recovered from a serious error.
Then I try disabling HT, save changes and restart, and I have no problem at all! I called up the repair man and he says my comp has virus but I'm damn sure that there isn't.
Anybody that has an answer to this please help.....it would be greatly appreciated.

do you mean hyper threading? do you have an Intel Pentium 4 processor?

since you dont "enable" a HyperTransport, thats probably a safe assumption

very strange, is it possible you are having voltage/temp problems? using something like SpeedFan will allow you to keep an eye on it
