Makes of video cards

Whats the difference in different makes of video cards like the assembling say like gigabyte and asus and pixel view and point of view whats the difference in who makes them??any major perfomance difference? because difference make has diffence prices some like even between $100 difference all same GPU and ram
 
The main difference seen between card manufacturers is qualiity even when seeing the same model with the same chip on different brand cards. There is only about 3 or 4 chip manufacturers with the two leading being ATI and NVidia while there are tons of different brand names. Each brand will generally have both brand chips seen on their various models. The chips are great by the two leading chip makers while the particular brand may be ???
 
so im looking 2 buy a new Palit GeForce 7600GT PCI Express 256MB DDR 3 is the make of this card reliable or ?? how can i find out which brands are good besides the big name brands like gigabyte, Asus donno much other ones. my two options are POV Point Of View 7600GT 256MB DDR3 PCI-E DDR3 or Palit GeForce 7600GT PCI Express 256MB DDR 3 only $3 difference between them where as the asus one is $100 more upgrading from a gigabyte geforce 6600gt 256ram fanless edition
 
I can refer this to someone else familiar with those makes if that helps. I'm afraid I don't have a good means of comparing those brands to any others. I'm several thousands of kilometers away from you there.
 
Usually the differences between brands relate to things like aftermarket heatsinks, stock overclocks, software bundles, etc... I've heard of both POV and Palit, but can't recommend one over the other without links to both to see what the exact difference is in this case. Realistically, if these are the two cheapest alternatives, there's probably very little deviation from the nVidia reference board.
