making a video game?

I am a newb in video game making . I dont have any experience in programing but have lots of time and eager to learn. I like if someone could tell me what to do first and what do i need for my first project?
 
You might want to look for some books about creating video games, maybe something that revolves around C++. If you want to create 3d models then you could download a trial of 3ds Max and play around with it. Anyways, making games isn't exactly simple...
 
r there other probrams that are free that i could use . I am only gonna start with simple stuff and then move on to harder projects . Coul some1 give me some tips and ideas about creating games ???
 
well if your a beginner i suggest gamemaker i have an activation if neede, and if you plan on becoming very good at this i suggest getting a program like maya 6.5 i have an extra one laying aroun id sell for 30US shipped, with bonus tutorials
 
ya programing isnt a bad start but its boring as hell, if you jsut wanna get the generally idea damemaker is the way to go, i created game sin theat program with no prior game making expericence
