i was just wondering if any of ya'll know a way to burn an image of my hdd onto a cd without having norton ghost
i have nero6, but the only thing i can find on there says that for the 2.6gb of data on the c drive, it'd take like 4 cd's to backup files

that's not exactly what i want to do
i have two hdd's, with three total partitions
of course, we have the c drive. then, my wife has the f partition on our extra drive, and i have the g partition
i'd like to burn an image of each 'drive' on seperate cd's.
can you burn an image of a partition that does not contain windows?

an image is like a copy. try alcohol 120%, it lets you make images, and it will seperate them into 700MB or whatever you want sizes

norton ghost is able to do an image on 1 cd ain't it?
or does it still depend on how much info you have?

First, nice grammer spazz31585, ain't is not a word at all, acording to websters english dictionary.

Second, Norton Ghost is not able to make a image on 1 cd, or dvd for that matter, (unless you have a 700MB Harddrive). My hard drive, for example, took 18 dvds to backup. That was a whole day dedicated just to backing up :) .

anyways, that's beside the point. so no matter what program you have, there's no way to burn a cd with information that's more then 700mb's?
that's cool
i was just curious. i was just trying to find a way to back everything up without having to burn 100 cd's

also, the new dell dimension system have a seperat partition on the hdd that always you to completely restore you OS and any software that was preloaded in like 15 minutes. anyone happen to know how to be able to creat a partition such as this?
