Making First Computer, Unsure of Components

I've decided that I'd like to make my first computer but I'm not sure which computer parts are the best and what exactly I will need. I've read the stickies about PC components and have researched some things on the internet, but I'd like to make sure I'm doing things right before I actually buy the parts, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and the computer is being built for high-end gaming (Bioshock, etc.)

These are the parts I've picked out so far:

Basically, I have three main questions:
(1) Are these all of the parts I need, and is there anything I chose that is a big mistake to use?
(2) Do you have any suggested cases that all my parts would fit in? I really know nothing about the sizes, but I think that as far as cases go I don't need one with a power supply.
(3) Will I need an additional cooling system to go with my computer? I'm pretty sure I will if I don't get anything else, but I know that some cases have a lot of fans (though whether that is enough or not, I don't know).

Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it because I have absolutely no experience with computer components or building a computer.

Do you have your mind set on AMD? Intel is faster.

Also, if you can wait a couple of months to build it, prices are going to be dropping big time. All the new motherboards, cpu's, video cards and just about every thing else will be coming out before Christmas. Which means all of the current parts will be dropping in price.

Also the newer motherboards supporting PCI express version 2.0 will coming out, they will be supporting the newer DX10 video cards that will not work with the older boards, (at least at full speed) Faster DDR3 ram is coming out very soon. The new Intel X38 chipset is coming out very soon as well. It will support DDR3-1333 ram along with the PCI-E 2.0 and they will use dual dedicated pci-e x16 slots.

If you can wait, then I advise doing so. Otherwise in 3 months or so your new system will be way behind the times.
