Making 'Word' template default.

I am using Microsoft Word (2007), and have set up a 12pt, Times New Roman (with 'No Spacing' selected) as my preferred template. Is there a way by which to set it as my 'Default' template?

what do you mean default template ? what is the template of ?

When first opening Word, the default document is set to the 11pt Calibri (Body) font, with a 'Normal' spacing. I wish to have a 12pt, Times New Roman - with 'No Spacing' - document set as my default document.

I already have such a template created, and can call it up by hitting the 'Office Button', and then selecting the 'My Template' choice (which is what I named it). But I was wondering if there was such a way to set it as my 'Default' document template, which would open automatically each time the program was activated.

i think the only way you could do it is a simple shortcut on the desktop

Couldn't see how to do that, but it's all right. It isn't like there were a whole lot of steps to open up that newly saved template of mine. But I do thank you for offering what you did.

if you want to create a shortcut you can click just as easy, just right click on the file then select send to then desktop create shortcut
