management of the hardware

I use windows xp sp1 and all is being well, but i can´t open tthe program for management of the hardware inside hardware thet is inside system properties.
Appears a message that says that it isn´t installed.
How can i solve the problem?.

Device manager is not installed, that's pretty serious, try doing a repair installation of WinXP from the CD. Also, try doing a system restore.

Im out of ideas, you could try a complete format of yourHDD but that is very drastic and not recommendedc for avid users.
