Mandrakelinux Bootloader install issue...

Ok... So I'm currently installing Mandrake Linux 10.01, and all has gone well... enough...
Until now. It seems to be stuck on the Bootloader installer. Does this usually take this long for a bootloader to instal? I thought it was done in a matter of seconds from my other experences. (sp)
Anyone know wy this is happening? It's a Gateway, and Mandrake is being installed on a 160GB SimpleTech USB drive with 4 partitions.

If no one has any ideas, I think it may have finished installing the bootloader. If the bootloader wasn't installed, how would I boot into Mandrake without it?

only thing I can think of is the automation of the Mandrake script.. are all 4 partitions being used for the linux system, IE is one /var/ one /home etc, or is one fat32, one NTFS for windows, and another for linux?

what I am getting at is, you can install the bootloader on yourself, if its the last thing being called on the mandrake installer.
