Manually Remove Spyware

How would you go about manually removing spyware or adware. I get pop up's and ad's when I'm not using the internet. I've run Norton Anti-Virus And Microsoft Spyware, they haven't helped. Is there a way to manually find out what's wrong with the Computer.

well i think one way is to delete your cookies. dont know if this will take care of all of it , but i think it will get rid of some like tracking cookies.
 
The only "safe" way to manually remove spyware would probably be; after you scan your entire pc with a spyware removal program, have a look at the file-name or where the infected file is located. When you've located it, then you can just delete it normally. However, downloading a good spyware removal program would be more faster, safer & easier.
