Two questions:
I already know that I can make a partition on a hard disk, but say that can I afford to buy a computer with 3 or 4 hard disk......

# 1

Can I install different operating systems in each of the hard disk? Example:
WINDOWS XP on one hard disk
Windows 7 in another hard disk
And so on ... ubuntu....apple .... etc. ... etc. ....

# 2 Every time I start the computer I have the option of which operating system I use?

Thank you in advance and excuse the ignorance of the questions.

Hello

Yes you can, its called multiple OS booting, And it will get somewhat complicated if your going to be using using NON windows OS. I'm sure someone else will chime in explaining how to do it.

Yes you can. It's called Multi-Booting. I'm only really versed in dual booting XP and 7, or XP and an older OS, but I know other members are more knowledgeable in this area.

As far as installing Mac OS on your PC, that is illegal and against Apple's EULA.

EDIT: Morning John haha

you can boot multiple os easily ive done with it with 3, sometimes the last os you install will give you a boot menu to choose (linux did this for me) sometimes it may just boot automatically into the last os installed (usually you will get a bootloader from the last os installed but as i say sometimes it can be annoying)
if it does use GRUB (also what i use) which is a boot loader you can install and configure yourself

http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/

You wont really be able to use mac because they are a bunch of whiners and have all proprietary hardware for the most part thus your machine is more than likely to have incompatible hardware in it. I have done win 7, xp, ubuntu, win server 2003 on same machine before but things get a little messy...I personally don't really see why you would want this (unless you work for telephone tech support). Just make a virtual machine for each OS instead. Way better idea.
