Max Battery and other options

on my Asus notebook in power i have options for portable battery / office battery etc, you know what i mean power.

Max battery is Max battery but what sort of benifits do you get from it? whats the best setting to have it on? Also does it depend on the task at hand?

Max battery is exactly what it says it is

this setting runs everything at full power
everything meaning: graphics card, screen brightness...etc.
