Maximum Safe Temperature For Asus ENGTX460 1GB Top.

Hello..
I've Asus ENGTX460 1GB Top and was overclock it..
Maximum temperature goes up to 80 Celsius..
It is safe temperature for long time use ?

That's not too bad for load. I wouldn't let it go any higher, and its a little high for my liking but its far from unreasonable. Turn up your fan a little bit if you feel its too hot.

GPU's are tough, they can operate to around 110C before malfunctioning. Mine goes up to 90C under load, but I plan on putting it under water soon.

If you said that.. I'm no longer worry on GPU.

NVIDIA says 104C max, though I notice a performance drop in FPS if mine passes 85.

Hmm.. I think must change fan speed to 100% to avoid the GPU over than 85 Celsius but I don't like noise out from fan.It's too loud..

If you're over 80% fan speed with those temps, I'd probably back down your OC a tiny bit. The near negligible performance gain really isn't worth the risk of damaging your hardware. I can run my CPU at 4Ghz if I wanted, but I need to use a lot more voltage than what I'm using for 3.8Ghz, so its really not worth the risk.
