My integrated graphics run Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 1942 perfectly at mid ranged graphics levels, however it couldnt run Doom 3 or Half Life 2 for anything...However I installed a fx 5200, and my Doom3 and HL2 ran perfect at high levels, but the battlefield games ran terribly...it isnt urgent...but just thought it was wierd...

I'm suprised you can run Doom3 and HL2 at high settings 'perfectly'... Can you tell me the average fps next time you play it? or if you remember it.

Battlefield games have big maps compared to HL2 and Doom3, so I think thats why. I recommend getting a better gfx card if you want to get nice FPS and graphics for your gaming.

Also could be useful to:
1. Note the resolution and
2. Define exactly what you mean by "high settings"

Highest FPS for BFV in game was: 40
Highest FPS for D3 in game was: 50
Highest FPS for HL2/Counterstrike Source: 80
That doesnt mean anything (a) without shots (b) you didnt note that you're running in DirectX8 mode (c) maximum fps doesnt mean crapall unless you have avg framerates to back it up

...those are all at default levels...
With Doom3 (as with HL2 if I recall) the levels are determined by the amount of video memory you have on the card.

HAHA, another magic preforms way better than it should GPU!!! I have one too!
Except as you found out -- it doesnt
