Mcafee expires in two weeks what next?

my mcafee expires in two weeks, I wanted to ask if it is recommended to use free antivirus software i forget the names of the free ones but its on that list of freeware.

Download and install either Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast. Download and run the mcafee removal tool.

Why don't you simply buy the McAfee VirusScan Console Enterprise full version which will never expire?
I bought that one almost 3 years ago and it's the best one ever.
Sure it was pretty expensive,but it protects me against everything and it will never expire as long as I am alive lol.
