McAfee sucks now I haev viruses, need help to clean it out

i have to find a new Secuirty System but thats not what im worried about right now.

1) i have SPYBOT_SEARCH & DESTROY1.4 on my computer (need to get rid of that)

2) spyware blaster v3.5.1 (NEED TO get rid of that)

I remember awhile back that I had to reboot into Safe mode i think but I dont remember what else to do
 
Time for AVG 7.5, Ad-Aware SE Personal, and Spyware Terminator in order to clean up some crap off of your system there. Dump Spyware Blaster first! That's a total load of crap! Spybot S&D is still good but not as effective as some others. At least that doesn't conjure up imaginary "bugs" so you have to buy a full retail product.
 
I agree to the use of AVG (free antivirus) and adaware 1.06. Spybot is one of the best programs i've ever used. I've saved so many computers at work from trojans, as well as some clients computers. Spybot is well worth keeping on your computer.
 
Boot in safemode, remove programs you dont want. Run NOD32, Aadware and S+D (not at same time) Also msconfig and startup and disable unwaned stuff. Run antivirus and re boot into windows.

Updating from IE 6 to IE 7 solved many problems fast! I ran an evaluation on Spyware Blaster sometime back and dumped it. A good antiphising filter will do far better.
