So I have my awesome Crosshair 2 and a 3870. I might be able to buy a second 3870. And I've read on Overclock.net (Source: http://www.overclock.net/t/799166/crosshair-ii-formula-ddr2-1066 Post 8,9 and 10) that nVidia chipsets allow both, just that some chipsets need to be certified for SLI. is this true?

thanks for anyhelp :)

thanks bigfella told me to add stuff i'll edit it here:

Please post full specs by downloading PC Wizard from my sig, installing it and running it. Go to FILE< SAVE AS and click ok. Save that text file and copy its contents into this thread. Also post the extact model and brand of your Power Supply Unit (this is very important).

Ok your computer will accept the sli, however your CPU will be bottlenecked and why bother with a 17" monitor as you wont see any benefit.

Well i knew the board accepted SLI, just wanted to know about crossfire. Basically, the cpu sucks and I'm replacing it sometime in the next few weeks. but its a good one for basic gaming like cod4 or even skyrim with all eye candy turned off. and the 2 3870's would basically be for fun and to say: yeah i have 2 3870's because I can :P
