Mechanical keyboards

Hi, I was wondering are mechanical keyboards worth it for gaming? Are they better? Is it about your taste? Are they hard to get used to? I'm trying to decide whether or not to get one.

Yes I think they are worth it. Pricey but worth it. The benefit that I started to see was that I can control my movements better than I could before because it was registering more key strokes than my other keyboards. I notice most of the changes in RTS games but I can still see it in FPS games as well.

What keyboard are you looking at?

I was looking at the Razer Blackwidow also its RTS gaming I mainly play

A buddy of mine has that keyboard. I love playing Starcraft on it. The keys are pretty stiff but they have great response.

I love my mechical keyboards. I've owned 3 total, and 2 at the moment. One with mx blues, one with mx reds and one with blacks. For gaming I would suggest reds or blacks.

I heard that the Cherry MX Browns were the best for gaming, so I would get the Blackwidow stealth.
