medal of honor pacific assault help needed bad

i have a p4 2.00Ghz intel 845grg mobo with 512 RAM and a nVidia GeForceFX5500 256MB.When i play medal of honor pacific assault i don't hear the sounds such as gun fire voices during cut scenes etc.But i can hear the background music.I use onboard sound hardware and soundmax integrated sound driver.What can do to play with sound?

what sound settings do you use? try software if you use hardware and vice-versa

Did you go into the in game settings and check to see if something didn't get changed.

Try to bring up the console with the ~ key and see if there's messages like "could not play sound blabla.wav, please fix." I have MOHAA and thats what I get.

All I know is that when I press the ~ key and the chat window pops up, which is the console. I sometimes see a bunch of failed commands, lost sound files are listed there after playing the game for a couple minutes.

I'd bet this isn't your problem though.

Find your save file and copy that somewhere, and then see if re-installing the game will fix the problem...

no i don't.I think using cheat decreases the deficulty of the game and makes the game boring.

I only asked because I do (beaten the game several times without them) and I get the same thing.

you're using on board sound atm? well.. it could be the game doesnt recognizes the sounds card yes.. but i cant guarantee it would work after.

altough.. when i ued the onboard sound from my old pc.. in Tomb raider angel of darkness, and in bloodrayne 2, the sound was very fast. ( 4time the speed or so, and there wasnt an uption to turn the detail up to make it run 'slower' like i could in BF1942)
