Spend a few minutes and use the search engine on this forum... There are more than a few threads that discuss whether or not MCE is really worth the extra price. I have a TV Tuner and I have yet to find a better piece of software for watching TV.

what kind of tuner? and how much did u pay?

As for Media Center Edition... I'm in the middle of building one from scratch myself, with an AIW X800 XT and running into some snags. You'll need a Microsoft remote to complete the wizard (to control your cable/satellite receiver), and other certified hardware like SoundBlaster Audigy xx sound. I still haven't gotten through the requirements, so I can't comment on completing a home-brew MCE system just yet, but it is my current project.
i read this somewhere is this true do you need certain part for everything to work right or what?
