Media PC - What's it really worth?

I just wanted to know how much these items would be worth and if they would be ok for playing fairly moder games on or using for the base of a multi media system.

--EVGA NF44 MicroATX SLI motherboard, with socket 939 AMD anthlon X2 4200+ (2.2ghz) dual core processor and a Thermaltake K8 silent heatsink.
--A-data 2 X 1 Gigabytes of DDR400 dual channel RAM.
--Microsoft media center Infared Keyboard and remote.
--450 pw supply as well.

WEll, you ocan't really tell how good it'll be for playing games as you dont specify a graphics card. But assuming it has a good graphics card, then it'll play modern games fairly well. As for the media system, it really isn't much of one as you're missing basic parts like the video capture card and such.

Yeah, no video card include, just a bare-bone system. I just wondered what all the compenents would be worth and if it is a good start?

Don't buy it.
Even you use AMD, use one with AM2 Socket.
DDR400 RAM out dated. Now using DDR2 RAM
Most people don't need remote control for PC usless you use as media centre.

Yeah, I double checked some of the stuff and it seems to be a few years old. I think, I might have a trade worked out, so we'll see. I know it's not the best, but what would someone prices this at?

hey daisy, he said the whole thing is for Media Centre. so... he would for sure want the wireless kb/mouse. and i dont have a media centre but i would think that you really dont need all that much power. but IF your goin to mess with games then ya... i might consider getting something with a lil more power. BUT i have a backup computer that is simi close to your specs(ram is the same) and it runs most games just fine.

don't really need anything 'special' for a media center pc. don't even need windows xp media center edition.

you really could use any os.
my old gaming pc had win2k and i had a capture card in it and had it hooked up so i could get sound threw my surround sound system via my vcr.
