memory clock 1/2 of wat i should be

hello

i recently purchased a hd radeon 4670 1gb graphics card
i never really look at the specs but i checked and it said its memory clock was 1600mhz

my old graphics card was a POS so i found rivatuner which allows me to overclock my graphics card
i thought i should do the same with my new one as well
i checked it out and riva tuner said my default core clock is 750mhz which is correct and that my default mem clock was 800mhz

i tried raising it up but got nowhere near 1600mhz
am i just a noob and should not be going off of wat riva tuner? or am i somehow restricting my graphics card

any thoughts or help would be great

This is interesting. I don't know what the problem is, but you can use GPU-Z to verify your clock speed. If you don't already have it, it can be downloaded here: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1665/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.3.6.html

yea i downloaded it and it confirms thats its 800mhz
idk wat i could do tho

Its got DDR memory, 800 is its true speed. Double Data Rate. Its fine. Just like System Memory, if you have DDR3 1600 its really running at 800mhz.
