Memory Compatability

This may seem a stupid question, but do Macs and PCs use the same memory?

It depends on the model. G5s use DDR2, G4s use DDR, iMacs Macbooks and Macbook Pros use DDR2 SODIMMs, Mac Pros use FB-DIMMs.

I know. But my question is, a stick of DDR SDRAM from a mac is the same as one from a PC?

Here's a stick of 512 DDR from a Mac Mini. It's only going for $5, because it's marketed for macs. If I were to buy it, could I resell it for much more, catering to the PC users?

Oops. Some G4s use PC133/100. But sure why not?

Ok, so long as it's the same type of memory, it is compatible on either PCs or Macs. I'm thinking that I could make a little money buying memory on eBay listed for Macs and reselling in the PC category...
