memory problem

i have an athlon 4800+dual core
oper.system windows vista 64
ram 2 G(1+1G)

i've tried to install Another 2 G ram(1+1 G)but my pc lost his sound
and my graphics gone crazy
when i use 3 G everything is alright

note that i have checked my 2 new memories and they are fine
also i've tested both my 2 emty slots and they are fine also

does anyone has a solution???
 
Are they matched pairs?

If not whats the make and model of each pair?

Plus what speed/timing and voltage has the bios got then running at?
