i have just bought 2 new memory sticks for my pc, (512 ddr-400).i installed the 2 memory sticks and at first everything was ok, but after 30mins or so the pc kept freezing, so i removed the old memory and put new back in, but when i start up the pc again it keeps on rebooting and says there are files missing.
i have now removed the new memory and replaced it with the origanal and its working fine. when i put the new memory in, the computer recognises it but will not run????? anyone help???? :(

What make and model board are you running there? Besides getting some bad memory in there may be a few other things to look at as well.

Sounds like you have a voltage and timming issue with the new Ram. Find out what the new Ram is support to run at, if it has the settings in the bios manualy set it. If your going to run the old and new together and there not the same your going to need to find a compatible setting between the two.
