Memory Problems

I occasionally get errors in PC games and varios system memory errors. I have 2 sticks of 512mb DDR
They are different speeds, 333 and 233 I think. And they are different manufacturers/brand names. That wouldn't cause a problem would it?

Thanks.

it just might. those frequencies are very different, making it difficult to work together. see if running one stick at a time makes a difference. sometimes its better to run less ram at a more stable condition than running more ram at an unstable condition.

Okay, so I have 3 512mb sticks with speeds: 133, 233, and 333. Are any of these okay for pairing up? I just bought a new mobo and it should be coming in soon. It supports up to 4gigs of 400mhz DDR. Could I just pair up 2 of the speeds I have or should I go out and buy 2 512's of 400.
Thanks.

I've always heard to keep them the same speed, but I'm not sure if that would really cause a problem or not?? I dont think brands make much of a difference...
