Memory upgrade

can someone help me? I have a Compaq D5S and it has a pentium 4 installed with 512mb of ram, i would like to upgrade this to at least 1GB because it is so slow, can someone tell me what ram i will need to get. Exact numbers? Im pretty desperate to upgrade. Cheers Guys

Providing you have slots open to use still the computer takes this type of memory.

Are you sure it has a pentium 4 installed and not a celeron processor?
