Memory - What slots?

Usually you put them in the first slot next to the cpu, So it would be slots 1 and 3 for dual channel.

[n00b]Ok thank you, i also read that these often post 1333 instead of the 1600 advertised, how do i up the memory to 1600?[/n00b]

Go into the bios and manually change the frequency and timings to match memory. Or its possible there is a xmp setting which will do it automatically. Your board may not have the XMP setting though.

Edit - Just checked and yes your board has the XMP setting, look on page 48 of the motherboard manual.

So it should recognize the 1600 automatically then? I cannot wait to get this rig fired up its killing me, been piecing it together the last month haha

As long as the XMP setting is set to enabled, yes, it should detect the correct settings and change them automatically.
