Menu Bar Missing in Internet Explorer

Hi everyone -- I am so annoyed right now....I have tried everything I found online to get the menu bar to display in Internet Explorer....even what I found on Microsoft's website which tells you to edit the registry. Can anyone tell me why the menu bar has disappeared and why it is faded out that I cannot even check it so it can display? I would appreciate any help. I know I can use Alt+V to display the menu bar, but I really to fix it...and possibly find out why this happened.

Which IE are you using? 6 or 7 If you recently upgraded to IE 7 why fuss? Download a fresh copy and remove the current one. IE 6 is still available if you are running that now. Replacing IE only takes a few minutes and saves a lot of time trying to debug it. It sounds like some part of IE like a need driver was knocked out there.

A fresh install would replace what was lost. Copy your links and favorites folder to another temp location and then grab a new copy of IE. A new install will also see that the correct registry entries are put in.
