Menu Bar Missing in Internet Explorer

Hi everyone -- I am so annoyed right now....I have tried everything I found online to get the menu bar to display in Internet Explorer....even what I found on Microsoft's website which tells you to edit the registry. Can anyone tell me why the menu bar has disappeared and why it is faded out that I cannot even check it so it can display? I would appreciate any help. I know I can use Alt+V to display the menu bar, but I really to fix it...and possibly find out why this happened.

"IE7? when you press alt+v>>toolbars>>menu bar, that doesnt work??"

Yes that works, but I wanted to fix it so that I don't have to that. Should I try reinstalling it? I think there may be problem in the registry.

"Just right click on the top and check menu bar"

That's the problem I am having when I go to check it...I can't because it's faded out.

Found this

User Configuration ->Administrative Templates-> Windows Components ->Internet Explorer -> Toolbars

and then set Disable Customising Broweser butons to Disable.

Then the lock/unlock menu item comesback.
