MercuryIn Graphing Calculator

Hello! Please exuces my English is not very good.

I am looking for someone with advance knowledge of LCD liquid Crystal display screens on small electronics.

I am looking to know if the display screen LCD on a TI texas instruments 83-Plus graphing calculator contains the Hazardous element Mercury.

I know larger LCD like televisions and computer monitors contain Mercury, but I am hoping the calculator does not because it has no back Light or color.

I am asking because recently one fell and became destroyed in my home.

I would not be too concerned. I have a Casio FX-9750G Plus graphing Calculator and when I bought it and read the manual it did not have a warning. This is sort of off topic, but I know that the new CFL lights contain mercury and if it drops and breaks the EPA recommends that you leave the room for 15 minutes and go back and spool it up with cardboard. But, if there are any visible parts on the floor I would use cardboard to spool it up. But, other than that I would not be scared too much.
 
Thank You for your fast reply! and for Your input. there was a visible spill on thefloor, but it was not what you might pick up with a cardboard. It was the dark liquid that once made up the digits on the display, the black and puprle you can see if you press your finger on any liquid crystal display.

When the calculator fell, the screen became cracked and this liquid filled the screen so that it was all black and some of this liquid also filled to the floor. i cleaned it with a rag and threw the rag away. This is Not mercury?
 
It could possibly be mercury. If it had a lot of mercury I think you can get brain damage. But, if it had only a little bit you should be fine.

@OP: If it's only a small amount like others have said, i would have to agree you shouldn't worry. But be sure to be extra cautious just in case. ;)
