metal gear exsternal HDD question

I see 2 fire wire connections on this hdd enclosure...does that mean, that I
could double my transfers, if I connected 2 fire wire cables???

If that is not the case, what are the extra fire wire plug for??

Lol, no...the extra firewire port is to connect things like a video camera, so that you can import video from the camera direct to the external harddrive. It also has an extra in case you want to connect a second firewire device, and the harddrive is using your only firewire port.
