Ordered a new CPU and HSF from Microdirect on sunday. Went for standard delivery as i was in no hurry which meant dispatch would be today.
Anyways, i realised after i had completed the sale that I had chosen the wrong HSF, foolish not to check i know but i thought it won't be a big issue. My thoughts were a quick phone call to them to amend the order and i'm sorted.....well i was wrong.
Called and said to the guy i want to amend the order, his reply was "ooooooh, right...hang on i need to put you on hold". 10 mins later someone else answers...seems i have been put through to a different department....must be an extemely difficult task this one
So i explain i just want the HSF removed from the order and the money refunded.
Apparantly thats not possible, my choices are i either RMA the product on delivery and wait for a refund or cancel the entire order. After about 3 secs thinking i went for the latter.
Now i know the cost of a HSF is minimal but it was the principal really. They can't do such a simple task as to amend an order that hasn't even gone to dispatch yet, a few clicks and its done for god sake.
Sooooo i shall look elsewhere for my parts.
