Microphone and Webcam on Dell XPS M1330

Hi all,

Among all the problems I'm having with my brand new laptop, the microphone is horrible. People hear my voice as if I were a male robot (and I'm a woman). Anybody having a similar problem, or ideas on how to fix this? I've tried fiddling with the settings but nothing seems to change.

Thanks!
Lorraine

A lot of times programs have built in features that mask your voice for "privacy" reasons. I would try recording yourself talking through your microphone in the basic Windows recorder. If you sound normal then it's the program being used. Either way though I would try and update your drivers for your soundcard, that may also fix your problem/give you more features.
