I hope it is not IE under another name but a complete new browser

Its not IE. Its rumored to be a complete rebuild.

Yeah I heard about this too. I wonder if we'll see it in any beta or RC builds of Windows 10? According to the article it looks like they may present it on January 21 when the next set of Windows 10 features is unveiled. Will be interesting to see what it's like!

From the article I read, IE will still be in windows 10 but there will also be the new browser as well. They just need to ditch IE all together.

IE will remain for a while in part because to many enterprise environments which rely on IE, trust me I am with you all on the death of IE as at my work setting compatibility mode for specific websites and many of the state sites require different versions of IE and will only use IE. Until spartan becomes a standard for websites IE shall remain.

Lets just hope they do not build Spartan the same way as IE, hopefully they take more of a Chrome or Firefox approach so with each release to not break backwards compatibility.
