Look, just buy or pirate the damn thing. Seriously. Open office can do everything Microsoft office can do except some extremely rare excel functions. I doubt you use them anyways. How about you just try open office out...and if you don't like it, go buy it or pirate the damn thing. Sorry, my spacebar is acting funky....

No. Trust me, somewhere in the depths of the bloated registry, or somewhere, it will leave a bit of info telling the installer that the trial's already been there and used up, and unless you regularly make working cracks for commercial software, the only way to get to use the trial again is a reformat and fresh install.

Also, I would recommend OpenOffice as well, I use it all the time as I have Linux and it opens everything fine, even all but most complicated Word 2007 documents open fine, and as Vizy said it doesn't recognize some formulas used by Excel, but majority of them - certainly all common ones - work w/o any problems.
